McMANNIS: Alvaretta P. (Reta) McMannis passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010 at her residence at Hillcrest Place Personal Care Home. She was 89. Reta was born April 1, 1920 near Oak River, Manitoba to Annie and William McMannis, second oldest of six daughters. She also volunteered her time with the Ladies Auxiliary of Brandon General Hospital and worked for a number of years in the Nearly New Shop. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Lillias Westwood, brothers-in-law Ray Whitton, Bob Treloar, Everett Westwood and A.J. (Doug) Treloar and her niece Michele Treloar. She will be fondly remembered by her sisters Peggy (Alex) Brennand of Virden, Mattie Treloar, Beryl McMannis and Molly Treloar, all of Brandon, plus many cherished nieces and nephews. A family graveside service will be held at a later date. Messages of condolence may be placed at www.brockiedonovan.com.
