Roseanne GREEN

GREEN: Roseanne (Rosie) Green passed away suddenly at her home in Killarney on February 27, 2010. Mom was born on the farm at the Lena district on September 10, 1937 to Tom and Rosetta Skeoch. She was the oldest of four children. She went to school at Jacques school district from grade 1 to 9. and then finished her schooling in Killarney. In 1955 she began her career with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce where she held various positions in branches in Virden, Weyburn and Winnipeg. In 1975 the family transferred to Killarney where Mom worked at the CIBC until she retired in 1992. She opened up a second hand shop “Second Hand Roze” in Killarney, which she operated for two years. She was employed with the Killarney Auction Mart office for a short time. She married Raymond Green in 1959 and had two children, Lori born in Virden and Blair born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. Mom was a member of the Killarney United Church, treasurer of the Thrift Shop and spent many hours working in the Thrift Shop. Mom enjoyed curling, golfing and bowling throughout her life. She enjoyed playing cards and bridge along with the fellowship that went with it. Her greatest pride was hearing/watching the achievements of her family. Mom was predeceased by her parents and two brothers Ron and Les. She will be dearly missed by her husband Raymond, daughter Lori (Russ), son Blair (Shelley), three grandchildren Marlee, Colton and Tara, brother Norm and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held at Killarney United Church on March 4, 2010 with Rev. Cole Grambo officiating. Ron Stewart sang In The Garden. Tara Green, her granddaughter sang and played guitar. The Eulogy was wrote by her daughter Lori. If desired, donations can be made to the Killarney United Church, or the Heart and Stroke Fund. The slogan of our town is very true “There is no better place.” Rest in Peace Mom in Heaven and in God’s Arms.
