POIRIER: 1931-2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Poirier of Antler, Saskatchewan on March 4, 2010, at the age of 78 years. He was the loving father of three daughters, Suzanne (Ed) Hasiuk of Calgary, Alberta, Gisèle Poirier of Regina, Saskatchewan and Lorraine (Norman) Gray of Reston, Manitoba; and five sons, Armand (Marcia) of Lorette, Manitoba, Roland (Susan) of Bellegarde, Saskatchewan, Robert (Anne) of Sinclair Manitoba, Gilbert (Glenda) of Sinclair, Manitoba and Roger (Leanne) of Antler, Saskatchewan. John was predeceased by Eveline, his dear wife for 53 years, his parents, Ovila and Lucienne, brothers: David, Maurice, Edouard, Adrien, Percy and Jim; sisters: Adrienne and Marie. He is survived by three brothers: Stan, Lucien and Germain; six sisters: Cécile, Thérèse, Elizabeth, Rita, Bernadette and Antoinette as well as 24 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was actively farming until a massive stroke took him away. We take great comfort in knowing he has been reunited with our beloved mother Eveline. They will be in our hearts forever.
