RUML: September 6, 1926 – March 12, 2010. John Ruml of Calgary, passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 83 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Myrle; children Janet (Cam White), Laurie (Brian Plumb), Elaine Pinniger, Adella (Bruce Plaisier) and Tom Ruml; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn his two sisters Mildred Ruml and Agnes Fowler, sister- in-law Joyce Denoon, and three brothers Will, Ed and Jim (Denise); also many nephews and nieces. John was predeceased by his brother Frank. Born in Winnipeg, John was in the restaurant business in Rivers for 25 years and Virden for 10 years. John and Myrle retired to Winnipeg in 1988 and moved to Calgary in 2005. Private family interment will be in Winnipeg at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to a charity of one’s choice.
