BRIDGEMAN: Jean M.A. Bridgeman, September 26, 1932 March 27, 2010. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jean Margaret Audrey Bridgeman. Jean was born on September 26, 1932 in Coton, Sudbury, Derbyshire, England. In 1947¸ Jean moved to Oak River Manitoba with her family. On November 12, 1949 Jean was united in marriage to Tom Bridgeman in Oak River, Manitoba. Soon after marriage, Jean and Tom started a family. Jean had many great accomplishments in life, her family of four sons was her greatest; Ron (Sandi), Garry (Grace), Brian (Lottie) and Cameron (Louise). As years past, the size of her family grew. Jean was blessed with 9 grandchildren: Dana (Pat), Heather (James), Scott, Jodi (Jason), Chad (Crystal), Russell (Jessica), Susan, Donald and Christie. Her life was blessed yet again as she was proudly declared a great grandmother of 5 great grandchildren: Piper, Blaire, Myla, Dexton and Kohen. Jean was predeceased by her parents Richard (Dick) and Audrey Griffiths and her granddaughter Jodi Bridgeman-Forbes. Jean and Tom work side by side to develop and build a successful and prosperous farm in Oak River, Manitoba. Jean was well known for driving and operating equipment as required, as well as for catching grain on the fly whenever Tom needed a helping hand. Upon retirement in 1987, Jean and Tom moved to British Columbia. While in BC, the life of golf and fishing occupied their time when they were not on the road visiting family and friends. The need to be closer to family had Jean and Tom once again settle in Oak River, Manitoba in 1993. Jean and Toms current residence was in Brandon, Manitoba. Brandon serves as the perfect central location for family get-togethers and the ideal day trip in the car to visit children and grandchildren in Ontario, Manitoba and Alberta. A celebration of life to honour the memory of Jean will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Campbells Funeral Chapel in Hamiota, MB, with a luncheon to follow at the Oak River Memorial Rink. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. A heartfelt thank you to Ollie and Gerry Pelletier.
