YOUNG: Billie Burke. Dec. 5, 1926 - March 31, 2010. It is with great sadness that the family wishes to announce the passing of Bill on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the age of 83 years. Bill was born in Miniota, Manitoba. He married Thelma Goldstone on July 16, 1952 in Brandon, Manitoba. Together they had two sons, Gregory and Brent. The family moved to Calgary in 1966 and Bill worked for Maloney Steel until his retirement. He enjoyed curling, golfing, and gardening. Bill was predeceased by his siblings, Ed, Jean, Harry, Claude, and Phyllis. Bill will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Thelma, sons Gregory and Brent (Susan), many relatives and all who knew him. Special thanks to the staff at Southwood Nursing Home and Unit 93 at The Rockyview Hospital for the excellent care he received. No service will be held at Bill’s request.
