SHIELDS: Glenn Murray Shields (Murg) September 8, 1962 to March 31, 2010. It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Glenn on March 31 at the age of 47. He is mourned by his three children, Nicole, Travis, and Devon, his mother, Joan Shields. Glenn's brothers Michael and Kendall, his sister Alissa, and their families. His dear friend Maxine Fullerton, and his extended family and friends. If he wasn't holding counsel with his buddies in his garage, he could be found mountain biking with his dog on the trails of southwest Manitoba. Uncle Murr, Uncle Fluffy, Uncle Plumber, Uncle Woodtick... are just a few of the endearing nicknames his nieces and nephews had for him. Glenn's easy nature, relaxed humour, and kind ways will be sadly missed by his friends and loved ones. In accordance with Glenn's wishes, there will be a small graveside service on April 9 at 2:00, followed by a reception in Alexander at the Whitehead Hall. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Manitoba Escarpment Trail Society, at 416 3rd Street Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 3C4.As Glenn would say “Peace, love, and Jellybeans.....”
