STELMACK: Ruby Hilda Stelmack (nee Stenson) passed away peacefully on April 23, 2010 at Valleyview Care Home in Brandon at the age of 82. She grew up in Brandon and was one of nine children born to Edith and William Stenson, now both deceased. She was predeceased by devoted husband Alex in 2005, devoted son Douglas in 1994, sisters Pearl, Eilleen, Dorothy, Betty and brother Bud. She is survived by sister Vera and brothers Ted and Ike all living in B.C. She will be sadly missed by daughters Bonnie (Doug), Shirley (Arvid), many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ruby and Alex were extremely close and spent many good times together at picnics, fishing and camping with the family. She was a very happy caring person who had the infamous Stenson giggle and was content being a mother and homemaker. She loved gardening and always had her camera with her at family functions, capturing the moment. "Mom, you will always live in our hearts." Thank you to the staff at Valleyview Care Home for the extra comfort and attention given to Mom during her last days. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 1:00 pm. at Memories Chapel. Pallbearers will be: Tyler Lepard, Harold McLenaghen, Ken Stelmack, Garry Stelmack and Mike Strasser. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers friends can make donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, #3 - 824 18th Street, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 5B7.
