PELOQUIN: Kathleen (Kay) Ida Péloquin (nee Hean). Kathleen Peloquin passed away Saturday morning May 1, 2010 at The Sherwood Home in Virden, Manitoba. Born April 19, 1918 in Regent, Manitoba, daughter of Ida May (nee Wells) and David Hean, Kathleen is predeceased by her husband Ralph, her brother Charlie, two infant daughters Jean Rose and Patricia Ann, and two sons-in-law Herbert and Frank. She is survived by her children Margaret, Donald (Louise), Rita (Keith), Louise, Bruce, Audrey, Betty, Shirley (Phil) and Joan (Yvonne), her grandchildren Marvin (Debbie), Carmen (John), Anita, Nora (Dan), Colleen (Kelly), Maurice, Marcus (Leanne), Brian, Craig (Arlene), Cheryl (Anthony), Paul (Jackie), Colin (Kelly), Karl (Jolyn), Sara, Rachel, Lori (Aaron), Sheri, Cathy, Isaac and Morgan, her step-grandchildren Samantha and Evan (Crystal), her great- grandchildren Joshua, Nicholas, Heather, Rachél, Shaydon, Kail, Olivia, Heidi, Evan, Riley, Hadley, Nate and Jake, her step-great-grandchild Michelle, her sister Ellen, her sister-in-law Ethel, and numerous nieces and nephews. Kathleen was an avid reader of many genres. She had a keen sense of humour, she loved to hear and tell amusing anecdotes and jokes. She actively supported many causes and charities. Her support ranged from the World Wildlife Fund to Mothers Against Drunk Drivers to medical charities. In her younger years, Kathleen loved travelling whether it was a day trip, a holiday or a social call. In her later years, Kathleen’s greatest joy came from visiting with and visits from her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Every family visit added to the collage of photos displayed on her wall, which was a source of great enjoyment and delight. The Funeral Service was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. on Saturday May 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Deacon Wilfrid Barre officiating. Interment will take place in Hargrave Cemetery.
