CAMPBELL: The death of Edith Marion Campbell occurred at Hillcrest Place on Saturday, May 22, 2010. Marion was born at Harding, Manitoba the youngest of nine children born to Thomas and Edith Bell of Harding. Marion received her education at Harding and then worked on the family farm until her marriage to Robert James “R.J.” Campbell on December 23, 1937. They raised two sons, Cordell and Urshel. The family moved from the farm at Harding to Halls Bridge district in 1946 and continued farming there until 2006, when Marion moved to Brandon. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking and playing the organ and piano at church and local concerts. Marion leaves her son Urshel and a sister, Vera Brown. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by: her parents, her husband, R.J., her son Cordell and seven brothers and sisters. A graveside service will be held at the Griswold Cemetery, Griswold on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 2:00 pm. The Rev. Craig Miller will officiate. Flowers are gratefully declined.
