TAYLOR: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Velma Marie with her family by her side. She passed away in Brandon on June 13, 2010 at the age of 73. She was a wonderful, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a giving friend to all who knew her. She is predeceased by her husband Harold and son Dale. She is survived by her children: Anita (Ken) Pearce of Forrest, Manitoba, Edna (Ken) Johnson of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Brian Taylor of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Brenda (Mike) Kachur of Cranbrook, B.C., Brent Taylor of Brandon, Manitoba, and Karen (Warren) Hope of Brandon, Manitoba. Also surviving are her grandchildren Mandy, Kevin, Kelly, Scott, Rikki, Tommy, JB, Jamie, Shane, Darryl, Brianne, Michelle, Evan, Mitchel, Steven, Jordan, Cody, and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Don, Mervin, and Wayne as well as many nieces and nephews. In keeping with Velma’s wishes, a private graveside service will take place at the Brandon Cemetery.
