CHARLES: Gordon Charles passed away at his residence in Melita on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at the age of 93. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Florence (Turner) Charles; wife Norma; brother Sidney; sister Blanche (Dewey) Hanson; brother-in-law Harold Stiles and sister-in-law Alice. Gordon is survived by his three sons: Garry (Lori Anderson) of Vancouver, Layne (Lidia) of Calgary, and Dean (Cindy) of Melita; 3 daughters: Debra (John) Carbone of Toronto, Donna (John) Greer of Sundre, AB., and Sharon (Paul) Nash of Abbotsford, B.C..; 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; brother Les of Lac du Bonnet; sister Dorothy Stiles of Brandon and sister-in-law Norma of Lac du Bonnet. A service to celebrate Gordon's life will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 10:30 am from the Victoria United Church, Melita, Manitoba with Reverend Jeri Bjornson officiating, interment to follow at the Melita Cemetery. Donations may be given to the Melita Lions Club Community Fund Box 607 Melita, Manitoba, R0M 1L0.
