SWALWELL: Cynthia Irma (nee Cox) Swalwell, (1922 - 2010), died peacefully in her home at Rideau Park Personal Care Home on Saturday, July 3, 2010. Cynthia was born and raised in Justice, Manitoba. It was there where she met Melfort Swalwell and they were married in 1940. They raised two children: Audrey and Douglas. Cynthia played an active part in her community: belonging to the WMS, the WA, the Justice Legion and the Justice Curling Club. Cynthia is survived by her children; Audrey (Brian) Ford and their daughter Stacey (Marc) and great- granddaughter Makayla; son Doug (Theresa) Swalwell and their children Candice (Rick), great- grandson Gavin; Teralyn and great grand-daughter, Reece. She is also survived by one sister Elsie Reid of Grand Prairie, Alberta and a sister-in-law Dorothy Cox of Justice. There are many nieces, nephews and cousins. Cynthia was predeceased by her husband, Melfort Swalwell in 1988. She was also predeceased by four brothers and two sisters. A time of visitation will be held at Memories Chapel, Wednesday, July 7, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the Chapel on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 2:00 pm. A private interment will be held. Donations in memory of Cynthia may be made to Rideau Park Personal Care Home, 525 Victoria Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 6S9.Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com.
