SMITH: Judith Lynn Smith (nee-Beam) of Brandon, Manitoba, passed peacefully away at the Assiniboine Centre, in the early hours of Sunday, July 25th, 2010, at the age of 63 years, to cancer. She was born on March 11, 1947 in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. While residing in Portage, she was a trained Hair-Stylist, then eventually making her permanent home in Brandon, Manitoba. Her interests changedto retail sales and enjoyed many years with Fabricland and most recently Wal-Mart. There wasn't a craft that she couldn't master, including: knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch, sewing, photography, quilting, scrapbooking, but most recently her passion was card-making. She was predeceased by her father Stan Beam. She leaves behind to mourn her loss: her mother Rose Beam of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, her brother Don Beam of Winnipeg, Manitoba; her loving husband Don Smith of Brandon, Manitoba; her children, Calvin Smith of Lethbridge, Alberta, Connie (Curt) Tomilinson of Nanaimo, B.C., Darlene (Steve) Bullee of Creston, B.C., Rennie (Ian) Barclay of Calgary, Alberta,Caury (Marty) Hurst of Langley, BC, Jason (Amy) Smith of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Dana Smith of Brandon, Manitoba, 13 Grandchildren and one great-grandchild, her best friend since Kindergarten, Donna (Mel) Whittingham of Brandon, Manitoba, along with numerous sisters-in-law, brothers- in-laws, her aunts, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. At her request, there will be noFuneral Service, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 2B7.
