HOWDEN: The death of Keith Howden occurred on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Brandon Regional Health Centre at the age of 73 years. Keith was born July 20, 1937 at Deloraine, Manitoba and grew up on a farm near Goodlands and also received his education at Goodlands School. At the age of 18 he moved to Brandon to work for Manitoba Hydro, where he held many positions over his 37 year career, retiring in 1993. Keith belonged to the Kinsmen Club, Car Club and the Snow-Goers. His interests included following the Brandon Wheat Kings, snowmobiling, golfing, baseball, as well as woodworking and construction. Surviving are his wife Lynne, sons: Darryl (Mhairi) and their children Sarah, Kayley and Meagan; Jason (Joanne) and their daughter Madisyn. Also surviving is Keith's brother Wayne (Dolores) Howden. Keith was predeceased by his parents Norman and Ilda and brother Murray. The Ceremony to Celebrate Keith's Life will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Memories Chapel, 330 - 18th Street North. Rev. Shannon McCarthy will officiate. A private graveside service was held at Rosewood Memorial Gardens prior to the ceremony. Memorial donations may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2B3.
