McLEOD: Edward Alexander (Bud) passed from this life peacefully at Brandon Regional Health Centre on September 11, 2010. Bud was born July 19, 1932 to Izabel and Alex McLeod of Deloraine. The family moved to Brandon in 1953. While in Brandon, Bud met a student nurse named Audrey and they were married at Central United Church. After their twenty year marriage, Bud moved to Ninette and purchased the Ninette Motor Hotel, which he operated for seven years. After selling the hotel, he retired to Kemnay. Over the years, he had several rural properties close to Brandon, where he enjoyed raising cattle. Bud loved a good laugh, and he imparted his unique sense of humour to his children. He enjoyed country music, playing guitar, and the companionship of his pet dogs. Bud's family and friends were always in his thoughts. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers William, Gordon, and sister Dorothy Armstrong. Bud leaves to mourn his passing, daughter, Barbara Robinson, sons Gary (Judy), Greg (Debbie), Bob, Jamie (Darlene) and grandchildren: Colin, Ryan, Brendan, Kaitlyn and Lauren McLeod, and several nieces and nephews. A private graveside service was held on September 15, 2010 at Rosewood Memorial Gardens. If so desired, donations in memory of Bud may be made to a charity of choice. Expressions of sympathymay be made at www.memorieschapel.com. Arrangements are with Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre, 727-0330.
