OAKDEN: Arthur (Art) Oakden, beloved husband of Betty; father of Larry (Judy), Blaine, Linda (Mervyn) Simpson; grandfather of Darcy (Lorrie) Oakden, Abby (Trevor) Clark, Joel Oakden, Alana, Allison, and Mandy Simpson; great grandfather of Heidi, Avery, Landon Clark, Jack and Jayce Oakden; passed away at the Hamiota District Health Centre, Hamiota, Manitoba on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 84 years of age. A service to celebrate Art’s life will be held at the Hamiota United Church, Hamiota, Manitoba on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with interment following in the Hamiota Cemetery. For those desiring, donations may be made in Art’s memory to the Hamiota District Sports Complex, Box 100, Hamiota, Manitoba, R0M 0T0 or to the Hamiota Community Foundation, Box 100, Hamiota, Manitoba, R0M 0T0.
