POULSON: Rodney Kenneth. March 30, 1951-October 31, 2010. With great sadness the family of Rod announces his passing Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Peterlougheed Hospital in Calgary, Alberta. Rod was born to Ken and Doreen Poulson March 30, 1951 in Calgary, Alberta where Rod spent most of his life. Rod did reside in Brandon for a few years and in that time Rod had made many friends and lots of fond memories of Brandon, Manitoba. Rod was a natural salesperson and spent most of his career in sales. Rod, like his father, had a passion for cars and Rod excelled in the auto industry. Rod and his father (Ken) both sold cars at Canadian Motors in Brandon. Rod also sold golf equipment and jacuzzis and did very well. Rod was an animal lover and you never knew what stray pet he would bring home. One time Rod brought home a pot belly pig that wasnt allowed to stay too long. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a joke that left you in tears. Many of his own life stories had you in laughter. Rod was always a pleasure to be around. Rod is survived by his wife Eleanor, stepsons Rob (Shawna), Lance, daughter Kelly-lynn (Benoit), many grandchildren. Rod is also survived by his mother Doreen, brother Kieth (Karen), sisters Roxanne (Guy), Rhonda (Gaynor), and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Rod was predeceased by his father Ken, brothers Monty and Gary. In keeping with Rods wishes, no funeral service will be held. Cremation has taken place and a family memorial will take place at a future date at his fathers resting place. Donations may be made to a charity of choice in Rods memory. May you rest in peace Rod!
