MACEY: Carol Ann Macey (Vrooman). Carol Ann passed away Sunday, November 21, 2010 at her home in Winnipeg. She was born July 26th, 1944 in Glenboro, Manitoba to George and Jean Vrooman and was raised there. She was involved in figure skating, worked on several high school committees including yearbook, ushered at the Gaiety theatre and enjoyed the fun times of life in a rural community. As a young adult she enjoyed winter trips to warmer climates. Carol Ann was very fond of animals and had several pets throughout her life. She was employed in Winnipeg for many years prior to leaving the work force due to ill health. Carol Ann enjoyed socializing with others and in recent years relied heavily on the close friends who lived in the same housing complex. Thank you to them for their care and concern. Carol Ann was pre-deceased by her husband Scott Johnston, her parents George and Jean and her much admired brother Raymond. A graveside service will take place Saturday, December 4th, 2010 at 1:00P.M. at the Glenboro Cemetery with Phyllis Mulligan Officiating. Friends that so desire, memorial donations can be made in Carol’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
