SWAN: Elwin Watson passed away suddenly at home in Souris on November 26, 2010 at the age of 63. Elwin was born and raised in Souris. At the time of his passing he was manager of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #60 where he had been a member for more than forty years and a past president. Elwin served, first as assistant secretary treasurer then chief administrative officer for the Town of Souris between 1972 and 2003. Elwin will be remembered as a thoughtful, generous and kind man who always had a smile and who loved to laugh. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, her three sons, Scott, Chad and Tyler. He will be forever missed by his sister, Marlene "Sis," her partner, Ken, her son, Warren and family, her daughter Shauna and family, the children he raised with love, Karen, Lisa and Doug, nine grandchildren, one great granddaughter, cousins, other extended family and many friends. Many happy memories will be shared for years to come. Funeral service was held at St. Paul's United Church on December 1, 2010. Donations in memory of Elwin may be made to a charity of your choice.
