WRIGHT: Frances Diane Wright (Goodhew), 1946-2010.After a brief illness, Diane Wright passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Minnedosa Hospital at the age of 64 years. Diane committed many years of her life to helping those around her. In her early years she worked as a telephone operator. Years later when Diane moved to Minnedosa she worked for Homecare. She also developed and coordinated the Minnedosa & District Services to Seniors program. After several years in Minnedosa Diane was ready for a new adventure and moved to Whitehorse, YT. There she worked in group homes for troubled youth and was also a foster parent. She lived in the Yukon for 8 years before returning to Minnedosa to be closer to her family. Diane is survived by three children, Betty-Ann (Kurtis) Jacques of Kelowna, BC and their sons, Ben and Carson, Ken (Kathy) Wright of Minnedosa, MB and their daughters, Stephanie and Candice, Cori (Mike) Stremick of Calgary, AB. Diane is also survived by her sister Deri (Larry) Hnatiw of Calgary, AB and her sister-in-law Lois Goodhew of Richmond, BC, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Diane was predeceased by a baby boy, Kenneth D. Goodhew, her parents Ken and Iris Goodhew, two aunts, Dorothy Patchett and Doris Keys, two uncles, Keith and Dennis Croom. She will be dearly missed by her family, many friends and her foster children that she held close to her heart. As per Dianes wishes, funeral/memorial services will not be held. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6 or the Alzheimers Society of Manitoba, Unit 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2.
