McFADDIN: William Sheldon McFaddin passed away suddenly at his home in Brandon, on Friday, December 17, 2010 at the age of 47 years. Sheldon was born and raised in Hamiota. He moved to Brandon to pursue his life and trade as a mechanic in Brandon for most of his adult life. Surviving Sheldon in his immediate family are his mother Joyce McFaddin of Hamiota, his son Robert Dean of Brandon, his daughter Kara McFaddin of Lethbridge, Albertaa his son Terrance McFaddin of Lethbridge, Alberta and his granddaughter Ada Lyn. He will be forever missed by his dear friend and companion, Janell Hinchliffe of Brandon. Sheldon had a thirst for knowledge and insight. His interests were vast and varied and he was an avid reader. He dove into learning everything he could about things that interested him. A few of his research quests culminated into sideline income ventures including professional photography and computer repair. When he was young, Sheldon aspired to be a pilot and though he never realized that dream, his keen interest in old planes and WW I & II documentaries followed him throughout his life. Balancing the more technical interests in his life was his exploration of music with the bass guitar, appreciation of nature, and devotion to his animals. The past few years found Sheldon focusing on his spirituality and finding truth. Though his life was cut short, he was genuinely well-rounded in experiencing all that life offered. His fondest memories were of his friends and escapades in his hometown of Hamiota. In his last years, Sheldon had a profound effect on those around him. "His honesty, principles and bravery will be a loss to all of us who seek the truth" - Tom. "I have much to be thankful for. Sheldon always said that his mission was to 'teach' and he did on so many levels. In the time that I knew him, he strove to rise above and open his mind - and in so doing, he opened my eyes and my heart to greater things. I love him and I always will." - Janell. As per Sheldon's wishes, no service will be held.Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com. Arrangements are with Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre, 727-0330.
