SINGLE: The death of Alvin Reinhold Single occurred on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Al was born September 24, 1944 at Waldersee, Manitoba and grew up on the family farm. Al attended Cory School for grades one through eight and then attended high school inGlenella. He helped his parents with the farm until moving to Brandon in the 1960's. Al worked at a few places when he first moved to Brandon and then he worked at Simpson Sears for several years. In 1975, Al took over from Jack's Delivery and started Al's Delivery Service for the next 35 years. Al had many interests. He loved bowling, golfing, fishing, hockey, football and baseball. Al's greatest joy was coaching bowling for YBC. He helped kids achieve goals in lots of tournaments all over the place. We had a good life together. Al is survived by his wife of 38 years, Pat; daughters: Sharon (Dallas) Lemaire, Tricia Single (John Alexander); grandchildren: Anita, Eric and Jennifer Lemaire; mother Elizabeth Single; sister Diane (Perry) Allanson; mother and father-in-law Charlie and Ann Miller; brother-in-law Gordon Motz; nephew Chris (Jenn) Allanson. He was predeceased by father, Reinhold Single. The Funeral Ceremony was held at Memories Chapel on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 with Pastor Jason Zinko of Redeemer Lutheran Church officiating. Urn bearer was Chris Allanson. Honorary Pallbearers were all those in attendance.
