FALLOON: Cindy Lorene Falloon, April 3, 1965 December 15, 2010. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cindy Falloon of Russell, Manitoba who passed away December 15, 2010 at the Russell District Health Centre at the age of 45 years. Cindy was born in Birtle, Manitoba on April 3, 1965 and grew up with sister Lorrie in Solsgirth, Manitoba. Cindy loved to sew, read, figure skate, and play sports, especially volleyball. She graduated in 1983 with the highest mark in her class from Birtle Collegiate. After graduation, Cindy worked in Winnipeg for a time but soon moved back home and married sweetheart Neil in 1984. Their son Kevin arrived in 1988 and five years later Derek was born. Cindy and Neil and their family enjoyed camping, fishing, and more exotic vacations to Hawaii, Jamaica, Cuba, and the Dominican. Cindy loved to bake and the boys always enjoyed cookies, muffins, pumpkin pies, homemade buns, candy apples, and specially decorated birthday cakes. Christmas time was filled with lots of love, family time, overflowing stockings, handmade pjs, and tons of presents. Cindy loved her job at Paragon Sales where she worked for almost 20 years as an accountant, but even more than that she loved to watch her boys play hockey and spent countless hours at the rink. In the rink and out of the rink Cindy was always very proud of her boys. When Cindy found out she had cancer in November 2008 she was filled with determination and hope of beating it. At that time she was told that she might not see her oldest son Kevins wedding in June 2009 but with her strength and determination she surpassed all the doctors expectations and lived two more years seeing many hockey games, going on Cuba, Chilliwack, and Seattle vacations with husband Neil, and continued to enjoy her everyday loved activities. Cindys energetic attitude, above average organizational skills, thoughtfulness, and love of life will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her grandparents. She is survived by her husband Neil, sons Derek and Kevin and daughter-in-law Kayla, parents Silvian and Lillian Ostash, parents-in-law Don and Dianne Falloon, sister Lorrie Huberdeau, brothers-in-law Bill and Heath, sisters-in-law Lori and Kelly, and nieces and nephews Danielle, Jack, Mary, and Grant. The funeral service was held December 21, 2010 at the Russell Community Hall with David Howell officiating. Interment followed at the Russell Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Pat Falloon, Scott Johnston, Randy McDonell, Warren Schappert, Dean Cooley, and Glen Frieze. Braendle-Bruce Funeral Service was in care of arrangements.
