SWEREDA: Walter Swereda of Shoal Lake, Manitoba passed away at the Shoal Lake – Strathclair Health Centre on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the age of 78 years. Walter is survived by his wife Naddia of Shoal Lake sons: Mark (Cyndy) Swereda of Shoal Lake, Brad (Alison) Swereda of Shoal Lake, and three grandchildren Samantha, Thomas and Riley. He is also survived by brother Melvin (Anne) Swereda of Winnipeg, sisters-in-law: Frances Swereda of Summerland, BC, Joyce Swereda of Burnaby, BC, Stella Swereda of Winnipeg and Mary Swereda of Winnipeg. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Olha with interment following in the parish cemetery. Prayers will be said Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. from St. Josaphat’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Shoal Lake. Fr. Mykhaylo Khomitskyy will officiate.
