HALLS: Mildred Vivian (Cleaver) Halls was born April 18, 1926 and passed away at the Virden Health Centre on February 9, 2011 as a result of a 3 year struggle with bladder cancer. She was the only daughter born to Joe and Mabel Cleaver of Moore Park, Manitoba. She married Norman Halls of the Reston area in 1944 and acquired three daughters at the same time. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Mary (Mummery) Cleaver; husband Norman; five brothers: Bill, Art, Bruce, Jim, and Keith and sister-in-law Margaret Cleaver. Mildred is survived by her step daughters: Winona (Bill) Morrison of Clarkston, Washington, Verna (John) Olenick of Reston and Mary Stewart of Watson Lake, Yukon; brother Bob Cleaver; sisters-in-law Evelyn Cleaver and Marion Cleaver as well as several nieces and nephews. In keeping with Mildred's wishes cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held. Interment will take place at a later date in the Reston Cemetery. Donations may be given to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 824 18th Street Unit 3 Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 5B7, Lung Association of Manitoba, 940 Princess Avenue, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 0P6, or to the charity of your choice.
