WARRINGTON: Beatrice Warrington formerly of Erickson Manitoba passed away peacefully at the Erickson Care Home on Friday, February 4, 2011 with family at her side. Bea was born at Otter Lake, Manitoba on August 2, 1928. Her early life was spent on her parent's home farm at Otter Lake in the Hilltop District. In 1948, she married Cliff Warrington and resided in Erickson on Sunray Farm half mile south of town. Bea attended the Hilltop school and a hair dressing college in Winnipeg. She worked as a hairdresser for a short period and then returned to Erickson where she worked at the creamery, Co-op and the hardware store for 30 plus years. After retiring from the hardware she worked for Lee's bungalows part-time and then at the Elkhorn Stables with her husband. Bea was a member of the Erickson Health Auxiliary, Erickson curling and skating clubs, Lutheran choir, 4-H club, and UCT. Bea loved to knit, sew, curl, skate, skidoo, and garden. One of her many talents was playing the guitar when she was younger. Some of her achievements are the Tourism of Manitoba award, UCT fraternalist and Carnival Queen. Bea is survived by daughters: Darlene (Ron) Slobodian, Patti (Alvin) Kowalick and son Kent (Colleen) Warrington, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and one sibling Thelma Wilson, many nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by: husband (Cliff), parents Matilda and Gustav, parents- in-law Percy and Edna, five brothers and one sister. Memorial donations in memory of Bea may be made to the Erickson Palliative Care, Box 697, Erickson, Manitoba, R0J 0P0 and Erickson and District Rec. Centre, Box 241, Erickson, Manitoba, R0J 0P0. A Celebration of Bea's Life will follow in May, 2011 at the Erickson District Rec. Centre.Expressions of sympathy may be made atwww.memorieschapel.com.
