PRESUNKA: Edith Presunka. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edith on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the age of 83 years. She was predeceased by her husband Frank; parents Harry and Jessie; granddaughter Nicole; brother Ed; and sisters-in-law Helen, Shirley and Tillie. Edith will be sadly missed by her daughter Dallas (Larry) Oberik of Regina Sask.; son Reid (Lori) Presunka of Cloverdale B.C.; grandchildren Jessie, Josh, Caitie (Reese) and Jordy; brother Ray; and aunt Myrtle. Edith was the youngest of three children born to Harry and Jessie Wheeler in Crystal City, MB. In 1947 she married Frank Presunka and moved to Glenboro, MB. Frank soon purchased the Glenboro Gazette and Edith was promoted to the woman behind the successful man. The Gazette "staff" was expanded by the arrival of two children, Dallas (1951) and Reid (1954). She was a great cook and hostess, and loved to knit, needlepoint, and sew. Edith volunteered her time when a need arose and served on numerous organization boards in the community. She was proud of her family and their achievements. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at The Willmor Chapel, 415 Broadway Street, Glenboro, MB on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Phyllis Mulligan officiating. Interment to follow in the Glenboro Cemetery. Donations in memory of Edith may be made to the Glenboro and Area Foundation, Health Care Designation, P.O.
