FLYNN: Gerald (Bud) William Flynn. It is with sadness that the family of Gerald (Bud) Flynn of Birtle, Manitoba, mourn his passing on Wednesday, March 2, 2011. He was born on May 27, 1924, the second child of Arthur and Winnifred Flynn of Isabella. He married Dorothy Hooper on November 24, 1950. He and Dorothy farmed the family farm and raised their three children: James (Susan) Flynn of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and their children Amber (Slav) Stancovici and Matthew; William (Carolyn) Flynn of Isabella, Manitoba and their children Krista and Patrick; and Geraldine (Allan) Farquharson of Calgary, Alberta and her children Nicole (Derek) and great grandchild Ayelen Melnychuk, Alanna (Sloane) and great grandchild Taylor Harder, Gerald (Selina) Guenette, and Kaynda Guenette. He is also survived by his sister Doris Kyler of Birch Hills, Saskatchewan and aunt Alice Bullard of Waterloo, Ontario. Bud loved to farm and enjoyed watching all sorts of sports. In 1982, he and Dorothy moved off the farm to reside in Hamiota. Then in 1998, he moved to Birtle. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy; brother George, and son-in-law Gilles Guenette. It is Bud’s request that there be a private family interment at Isabella Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Isabella Community Hall, Isabella, MB on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. for all who wish to meet with the family to pay their respects.
