SKARDAL: Ethel Frances Skardal. Passed away at the Baldur Personal Care Home on Monday March 7, 2011 at the age of 91 years, Ethel Frances Skardal (nee Joelson) of Baldur, formerly of Winnipeg, Carberry and Glenboro. Ethel leaves to mourn her passing her son Ray and wife Diana of Winnipeg, grandchildren Raymond and Riley (Dawn), great grandchildren Rylee, Rae and Ryan, sister Anne Biles of Glenboro as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Ethel was predeceased by her husband Frank (1981), parents Fredbjorn “Fred” & Gudny Joelson, brothers Vilhelm “Bill”, Sigurdur “Siggie”, Irwin, Herman and Norman and by her sister Alice Sveinson-Jones. A Celebration of Ethel’s life will be held on Tuesday March 15, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Baldur, Manitoba, with Pastor Don Miller officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in the Baldur Cemetery.
