MARTIN: With much sorrow, the family of Edna Christina (nee Earl) Martin announce her passing on April 20, 2011 in Victoria, B.C. She was surrounded by family and passed away peacefully at her home in Selkirk Pl. following a year of medical challenges which she faced with dignity and grace. Edna was born in Brandon January 9, 1925 and grew up in Justice, Manitoba. She spent most of her adult years living in Victoria but returned to Brandon often to see her Manitoba family and friends. She was predeceased by parents Margaret and Harry Earl, sister Evelyn Smith of Brandon and her husband of 57 years, Eldon (Curly) Martin. She is survived by brothers Elmer Earl (Mae), Murray Earl (Eileen), Morris Earl (Denise) and brother- in-law Howard Smith all of Brandon and her five children, Sandra Johnson (Butch), Linda Mylie (Doug), Bobbi Sheridan, Maureen Martin, Andy Martin (Ali) as well as 8 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends thoughout the world. A celebration of Edna's life will be held May 18, 2011 in Victoria at the Chief and P O's Club. All are welcome. Flowers are gratefully declined but a donation to a charity of your choice in Mom's memory would be appreciated.
