AUNE: Bruce Alvin Aune of Brandon, passed away at his residence on Sunday, April 24, 2011 at the age of 63 years. Bruce was born in Winnipeg on May 23, 1947 and grew up in Elm Creek, Manitoba. He is survived by beloved companion and best friend, Arlene Stebeleski and her family; daughter Amber (Ryan) Lobert, granddaughter Amie, and son Cody; Bruce's daughters Teresa (Robert) Grain and Sharon (Todd) Cashin; and grandsons Derek, Mark, Will, Andrew and Finn. He was predeceased by his father Arne, and is survived by his mother Ruth, sister Helen (Don) Woods, and brothers John (Diana) and Eric, along with numerous nephews and nieces. Bruce loved to golf, curl and play poker. He was very skilled with his hands and was involved in many construction projects. He was most proud of his workmanship at the Brandon General Hospital, Keystone Centre, RCMP Heritage Centre in Regina and of course Houston's, where he loved to dance. A memorial service will be held at Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 1:00 p.m with Mr. Jamie Berry officiating. A reception will follow at the Brandon Army Navy & Air Force Unit No. 10, 31-14th Street. Interment will take place at the Elm Creek Cemetery at a later date.
