TURNER: Gladys Margaret Turner (nee Stone), 1929- 2011.Wife, Mum, Grandma and "Grape-Grandma", Gladys passed away with her family by her side Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. She was predeceased by her parents Stanley and Lena Stone and her son-in-law Ron Hall. Gladys leaves to cherish her memory; her husband of 63 years Gordon; children Dianne, Donna (Bob) and Doug (Sandra); two brothers; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She also leaves brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Gladys lived in northern Manitoba and later retired to Erickson and Brandon. She was an active member of the Royal Purple for many years. She was a loving and dedicated wife and mother, and found great joy in her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Her loving presence, her sense of humour, and her memories of family history will be sadly missed. The family wishes to offer sincere thanks to Home Care and Palliative Care staff as well as the staff of the emergency room and the doctors and nurses of the 3rd floor of Brandon Regional Health Centre for their compassionate care. Also a special thanks to sister-in-law Aileen for her love and friendship. The Ceremony to Celebrate the Life of Gladys was held on Thursday, May 5, 2011. at Memories Chapel, 330 - 18th Street, Brandon. Elgin Hall officiated. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Gladys may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, #3, 824 - 18th Street, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 5B7.Expressions of sympathy may be made atwww.memorieschapel.com.
