POLLOCK: In loving memory of Jimmy Pollock who passed away June 21, 2011 in Brooks, Alberta. Jimmy was born to Jean and James Pollock October 24, 1920 in Regina, Saskatchewan. He was predeceased by his loving wife Peggy in 1986, who he met in Belfast Northern Ireland while serving with the Royal Canadian Navy during WW11. Jimmy was also predeceased by his one sibling, sister June Robbins in Brandon, Manitoba. He worked many years at the Brandon Mental Hospital and the Department of National Defence in Victoria, B.C. Never one to sit still Jimmy was always building or working on his next project. He was an avid reader and an excellent boat builder, he will be remembered for his kindness and generosity. Jimmy lived his life to the fullest. He is survived by his daughters Margaret, Mission, B.C., Valerie (Karl) Surrey, B.C., Gloria, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Heather (Dale), Stettler, Alberta, June, (Calgary), Noreen (Brian), Alberta. Sons Lt. Col. Joseph Pollock (Bev) Spruce Grove, Alberta, Manitoba, MWO Shane Pollock (Joanne), Winnipeg, Manitoba, 20 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Nora Armstrong in Beragh, Co. Tyrone, N. Ireland. Jimmy is survived by his wife Mary Pollock, Don, Paula, Joann, John O"Neill of Ballymena, Co. Antrim, N. Ireland. He is survived by nephew Don (Dianne) Robbins and family in Canada and many more nieces and nephews in N. Ireland, Scotland and England. Interment with his wife Peggy in Broadview, Saskatchewan.
