APLIN: Alvin “Al” Aplin, beloved husband of Gerrie and dear father of Valerie Smith, Lindsay Aplin and Cheryl Kukurudz, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, August 5, 2011 at the age of 74 years. A Celebration of Al’s life will be held at St. Matthew’s Cathedral, 403-13th Street, on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with The Venerable Paul Curtis officiating. Interment will take place at the Brandon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Al may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, Unit 3-824-18th Street, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 5B7 or a charity of choice.
