CAREY: Wayne Douglas. October 19, 1944 August 31, 2011. It is with great sadness that we announce that our son, husband, father and grandfather, Wayne Douglas Carey, peacefully passed at the Rockyview General Hospital on August 31, 2011, 1 Elul 5771. He leaves behind his mother Daisy of Brandon, Manitoba; his wife of forty-three years Janice (nee Baker); his sons Blair and Phillip, their wives Tara and Amy and his six grandchildren, Lauren, Logan, Shayna, Orli, Samara and Jacob. He joins his sister Karen and his father Jack at the great fishing hole, where he will catch another prize-winning salmon or trout. The family is grateful for the care Wayne received from the staff at the Intensive Care Unit of the Rockyview Hospital and request that instead of flowers, donations be made in Waynes honour to the ICU at the Rockyview Hospital (cheques should be made out to the Calgary Health Trust or by calling 403.943.0615). Funeral and Burial will be at the Chevra Kadisha Cemetery in Calgary, Alberta on September 2, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. (North East Corner of Highway 22X & 37th Street S.W.). All guests are invited to join the family at the Carey Home in Calgary thereafter.
