MOUNT: Virginie Marie Adrienne (nee Ferrand). Peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with cancer on September 2, 2011. Beloved wife of Ronald, loving mother of Dan and Adrienne (Peter), forever cherished by her granddaughter Sophie. Loving sister of Maurice, Therese, Gerry, Gilberte, Germain. Reunited in heaven with her sisters Lily and Alvina and her parents Marcelle and Casimir Ferrand. Virginie loved children. She taught in Brandon and Rivers, on a Canadian Armed Forces base in Germany, Sacre-Coeur in Georgetown, and St. Peter’s in Milton where she also volunteered after her retirement. Travelling, the cottage and hiking were just some of the joys and love she shared with her husband. Her love of family as well as her French roots ran deep as she instilled a love of both in her children. She shared her faith through Children's Liturgy and by example to all she met. God has called her home and she will be dearly missed. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy Rosary Parish in Milton, Ontario. Donations can be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society in her memory. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home 114 Main Street, Milton 905-878-4452. Letters of condolence may be left for the family at www.mckersie-kocher.ca
