MADDER: Peacefully with family at her side on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at the Riverdale Health Centre, Rose Madder of Rivers Manitoba, widow of the late Frank Madder passed away at the age of 97 years. Memorial service will be held in the Rivers United Church, on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. with the Reverend Glenna Beauchamp officiating. A private family interment will take place in Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Rose was born on October 14, 1913 daughter of James and Isabella Ross at Elstow, Saskatchewan. In May of 1937 she married Frank Madder and they lived in the Spring Valley District until Frank went to war. She lived in several places doing housekeeping during the war and after Franks discharge they resided in Alexander. They then moved to Wheatland and finally to Rivers in 1961. Rose was very family and community minded, volunteering at as many local events as she could and never missed an occasion to visit with her family. Predeceased by her Parents James & Isabella, her husband Frank, her son Charles, and her grandson Dean, 4 brothers and 4 sisters, she leaves to mourn her passing her 2 sons Jim, Bill (Charlene), her daughters Myrt (Gerry) Smith, Pat (Wally) Hillier, Donna (Dave) Falkevitch, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sisters Helen (Bill) Sibbald, Margaret Skinner and several nieces and nephews.Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Rose’s name to the Rivers and Area Community Foundation.
