SHANNACAPPO (Whitebird): Rose Shannacappo, February 5, 1929 - October 15, 2011. On October 15, 2011 at 3:00 a.m. in the morning, Rose made the transition into the spirit world at the age of 82. Rose was predeceased by her husband James, daughter Marlene, parents Sara and Alex, sisters Isabelle and Madeline, brothers Wilfred, Samuel, Herman and granddaughter Elaine Kasto. Rose is survived by her siblings Mary, Joe, Stanley, and Agnes, her children Florence (Donald), Dennis, Douglas, Judy (Percy), Louella (Gerald), Isabelle (Denis), Morris (Sheila), Darren (Shannon), daughter-in-law Eva, stepson Wayne (Val), 24 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Rose will be missed and her lasting legacy will be celebrated on Thursday, October 20, 2011 with a Traditional Feast starting at 11:00 a.m. and formal service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Southquill Hall, Rolling River First Nation followed by interment beside her loved ones, friends and acquaintances who have gone on ahead into the Spirit World.
