METCLAFE: Mary Metcalfe (previously Workman) nee Corder. At the age of 94, on Thursday, October 13, 2011 in Lions Manor Personal Care Center. Mary passed away after a life filled with love. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her Sister Hilda, Children Bob Workman, Carol Corder and Sharon Cahn, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, friends and former students. In tears we saw you sinking,We watched you fade away,You suffered much in silence,You fought so hard to stay.God saw you getting tired,A cure was not to be.So He put his arms around you, And whispered Come with Me.So when we saw you sleeping,So peacefully free from care.We could not wish you back again,Were glad that you are there.A Celebration of Life and light lunch will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2011 in the Common Room at 1061 Sergeant Avenue, corner of Erin Street (Bethelstadur) Winnipeg, Manitoba. Funeral Services and Interment will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 28 at St. James Anglican Church, Solsgirth, Manitoba. A reception will follow in Solsgirth Community Hall. Our Family offers a heart felt thank you to all the staff at Lions Manor Winnipeg, both the Supportive Housing Unit and the Personal Care Centre. Their kind and compassionate care is greatly appreciated.
