CHALMERS: Betty Emily Chalmers (née Bunn) of Birdtail Sioux First Nation as well as Nanaimo, CFB Shilo, Winnipeg and Germany, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg at the age of 77 years. A Funeral Service to honor Betty’s life will be held at Central United Church, 327-8th Street on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Laird Russell-Yearwood officiating. Cremation will follow and a private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Betty may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 8-940 Princess Ave., Brandon, MB, R7A 0P6. Complete obituary information to follow.
