SOKOLOWSKI: Charlie Sokolowski passed away on November 12, 2011 at Brandon Regional Health Centre surrounded by his loving family at the age of 66 years. Charlie was born on October 2, 1945 in Brandon, Manitoba, the youngest child of Walter and Alexandria Sokolowski, and remained in Brandon for the majority of his life. In addition to spending quality time with family he valued spending his free time taking advantage of his natural mechanical talent and tinkering around the house and yard. He always looked forward to packing up his motor home in spring and summer for various road trips across Canada. Charlie was predeceased by his parents, brothers Bernie, John, Ludy and sister Marian (Dean) and father-in-law Art Moore. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Pat (nee Moore), children: Chuck of Winnipeg, Nadena of Fort McMurray Alberta, Jasmeen of Alexander, MB, Sheldon of Brandon, sisters: Bea Batke of BC and Anne Onufryk of Ontario and the grandchildren he loved so dearly: Justin, Makaja, Jadene, Steven, Avery, Sammy, Josh and Andrew as well as numerous nieces, nephews and mother-in-law Dorothy Moore. He will always be loved and within us all. As per Charlie's request no service will be held. If friends so desire a donation in memory of Charlie may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation for Brandon RHA Cancer Services, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, MB R7A 2B3.
