NADLER: Myrtle Anne Nadler, 1922-2011. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Myrtle Nadler (Dixon), mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother, on November 7, 2011 in Ottawa, ON. Born in Swift Current, SK, she moved to Brandon, MB in 1938. She met the love of her life, Peter, and they were married for 65 years. Both shared a love of music and dancing. She also became a devoted mother and made many friends. In 1988, Myrtle and Peter retired to Ottawa, ON. Myrtle is predeceased by her parents, George and Annie Dixon (Chesters); brothers, Ralph Dixon (Louise) and Howard Dixon (Babs); sister, Gladys Anderson (Ken); husband, Peter; and daughter, Patricia Voullaire (Patrick). Myrtle will be greatly missed by her daughter, Marie Popplewell (Harris); son, Mark Nadler (Lynn); daughter, Kathleen Nadler (Dave Schmidt); son-in-law, Patrick Voullaire (Annie); granddaughter, Jennifer Howard (Tara); grandsons, Peter Popplewell (Vicki), Brett Popplewell (Corina), Kyle Nadler, and Desmond Voullaire; and great-grandchildren, Luke and Alice Popplewell, and Harry Peel. The family wishes to thank the staffs of Barrhaven Manor, Ottawa Queensway Carelton Hospital, and the Carleton Lodge Long Term Care Home, who cared for Myrtle during her lengthy illness. A memorial service will be held for both Myrtle and Peter in Brandon, MB during the spring of 2012. The date is to be announced. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
