SCHESNUK: The death of Peter John Schesnuk occurred in the city on Monday, December 12, 2011. Peter was born in Brandon on April 22, 1933 and received his education in the city. He was employed with CP Railway and worked at Manco Dairies. Peter then joined the Fire Department with the City of Brandon where he was employed for thirty-five years, retiring as a lieutenant. He married Lillian Navid in Brandon on October 21, 1955. They raised four children. His favourite hobbies were fishing and hunting. Peter is survived by his children: Pat Schesnuk of St. Albert, Alberta, Rick Schesnuk of Lloydminster, Alberta and Helen St. Germain (John) of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; grandchildren: Brandon and Vanda, Desirae and Jacquelyn, Jason and Mark; great granddaughter Khloe. Also surviving are brother Alex Schesnuk and sister Darlene Colquhoun. Peter was predeceased by his wife Lillian and son Michael. Funeral Service will be held at Memories Chapel, 330 - 18th Street North on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Shannon McCarthy will officiate.
