STOUFFER: Brian Gordon Stouffer, of Brandon, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Saturday, December 17, 2011, surrounded by his family. Brian was born October 15, 1938 in Holmfield, Manitoba where he grew up. He had a love for sports and excelled at baseball; pitching many years for Cartwright. He served with the Canadian Forces from 1958 to 1982 fromGagetown to Victoria and also Germany. He later worked with the Public Service of Canada and officially retired in 1995. His interests included gardening, cooking, politics, nature and science, travelling, sports, and his beloved Wheat Kings. He especially enjoyed our family winter holidays and the opportunity to seize new life experiences. Brian was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He had great respect for life and humanity, and cherished his friendships. Brian is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marlene; sons Tim (Brenda) and Jeff (Julie); grandchildren: Bradley, Matt, and Sydney. He is also survived by his sisters: Ella and Jean; brothers Les (Irene), Frank (Carol); brothers- in-law Mel (Fiona), Wayne (Isabel) and his many nieces and nephews. Brian was predeceased by his parents Gordon and Lil and sisters Joyce and Robin. A Come & Go MemorialReception will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Interment will be held at the Brandon Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of Brian may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 3 - 824 - 18th Street, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 5B7. The family wishes to thank the ICU staff at the Brandon Regional Health Centre for their tremendous, professional, courteous and caring support through this very difficult time.
