WILKINSON: Dorothy Jean (nee Parker). April 25, 1933 - December 25, 2011. After a brief illness, Dorothy peacefully went to be with her Lord in Heaven on December 25, 2011. She is survived, deeply loved and missed by her five children, daughters Kathy (Larry) Heffernan of Airdrie, AB, Carole (Ken) Saviak of Calgary, AB, and Marleen (Dan) Meier of Tisdale, SK, and sons David of Brooks, and Sean of Medicine Hat. She is also loved and remembered fondly by her nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Henry Wilkinson in 2002, her mother Eleanor and her father Clarence. Born April 25, 1933 in Welwyn, SK and raised in Moosomin, SK. Dorothy was the third oldest in the Parker family of thirteen siblings. Her greatest passion in life was in caring for babies and children, and she served as a Foster Parent for the Province of Alberta for nearly 30 years, and also as a babysitter and Nana for many other children. Her wide collection of fine porcelain and vinyl dolls was a great source of enjoyment and pride for her, paying testament to her love of little ones. In respect to her personal wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date.
