McPHAIL: Shirley Jean (nee Dowker), passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Assiniboine Centre in Brandon. Shirley was born March 13, 1931 at the Boissevain hospital to parents Goldie and Annie Dowker. She grew up on the family farm just north of Waskada, Manitoba. After her schooling she moved to Brandon for work and met Archie, they were married December 27, 1958. Shirley is survived by her husband Archie, son Alex, daughter-in-law Sylvia and their children Caroline and Katie, daughter Darlene, son-in-law George McPherson and their children Mitchell and Nicola, sister Helen Hannah, sisters-in-law Donna Agnew and Edith McPhail, as well as extended family members. She was predeceased by her parents, Goldie and Annie Dowker, sister Margaret Ross, brother Clinton Dowker, brothers-in-law Ron McPhail, Mac McPhail, Dick Ross, Doug Hannah, Hinds Agnew and Archie’s parents Alex and Effie McPhail. A private interment will be held at Humesville Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
