KOVERSKY: Dorothy Ilene Koversky (nee Maxwell) passed away peacefully at Boissevain Hospital at 7:20 p.m., on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Dorothy was to celebrate her 79th birthday on March 31, 2012. Dorothy resided at Westview Lodge where she enjoyed her last few years. She was born in Atwater, Saskatchewan and was the the first child of William (Bill) and Elsie Maxwell. She attended Verona School and spent her early years in Deloraine, Manitoba, where she worked as a Health Care Aide at Deloraine Hospital. Dorothy married and later resided in Boissevain. She worked at the Boissevain Co-op and enjoyed camping, bowling, clogging, sports, reading & playing cards with her many friends. In her later years, she spent numerous hours at various ballparks watching her Grandchildren play softball. She was an avid Blue Jays & curling fan. Dorothy loved to laugh and listen to others tell stories. She was unselfish, as life was never about her, it was always about her friends and loved ones. She was a loyal friend. She was a private, courageous, proud individual and left this world with dignity and grace. Dorothy is survived by four daughters, Brenda MacDonald, Barb Morgan (Doug), Marlene McFadzean (Greg) and Michelle McFadzean (Darin), ten Grandchildren and eleven Great Grandchildren. She is survived by one sibling, Keith Maxwell (Lucille) and various nieces and nephews and long-time friends, Bernice Petras, and Fay Adamson. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, William and Elsie Maxwell, her sister, Shirley Judson, and special friend, Iris Sharp. A private service was held on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at Waskada Cemetery and officiated by Reverend, Glen Whetter. Nevada McFadzean, Granddaughter of Dorothy, read her favorite poem, “In Flanders Fields”. Dorothy’s daughter, Marlene McFadzean, played the guitar and sang “The Rose”. “Amazing Grace” was sung by her Granddaughter, Zoe McFadzean. The Eulogy was read by her Grandson, Jesse McFadzean.
