FOSTER: Jason Patrick (Squeak). Suddenly and tragically at the age of 27, Jason was taken from us on February 15, 2012 at Dawson Creek, British Columbia. Jason was born June 1, 1984 in Lahr, Germany. For seven of Jasons 27 years he lived in Lahr, Germany. As a young boy Jason was able to visit many places and countries in Europe. Jason attended nursery school in Starbuck, Manitoba where he lived for two years. In 1989 Jason and his family moved back to Lahr, Germany. Jason started Kindergarten at the Gutenberg school. He completed grade 1 and grade 2 as well. He then attended G. H. Dawe school in Red Deer, Alberta from grade 3 to grade 7. In 1997 Jason moved to Rivers, Manitoba and started grade 8 and in 2002 graduated from grade 12. After graduation Jason worked at Maple Leaf Foods for one year in Brandon, Manitoba. In the fall of 2003 Jason completed several courses in The Natural Resources Program at The University College of the North in The Pas, Manitoba. During this time at college Jason made the decision to enroll in the course of Computer Programer Analyst. So in the fall of 2004 Jason started the course at The University College of the North in The Pas, Manitoba, and in May of 2006 Jason graduated. As a young boy Jason was very happy always had a smile for everyone and was so easy going and easy to please. Those wonderful qualities carried right through as he became a young man. Jason was also known to his many friends as SQUEAK. He was a faithful and trustworthy friend. You could always count on Jason. Jason had a love for animals also. His kind and gentle way attracted all animals especially cats and dogs to his side. Jason loved all kinds of sports. As a youngster he played, T-Ball, baseball and soccer. He attended a Blue Jays game in Toronto, Ontario with his dad in 1996. He had a love for volleyball, badminton and golfing, at the age of 13 Jason found his passion for the game of curling. He was a member of the Rivers Curling Club and the Brandon Curling Club. In 2002 Jason and his teammates competed at the Target Junior Mens Provincials in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. In 2006 Jason and his good friend Jason St. Pierre moved to Fort St. John, B.C. to seek employment. Jason had several jobs in the Oil Field Industry. Then in January 2008 Jason landed the job as CAD/Network Operator at McElhanney Land Surveys Ltd. in Fort St. John, B.C. Jason was a valued team member and a member of the McElhanney Family. Jason had a passion for gaming and he established a gaming on line family. While living in Fort St. John, Jason had many friends and when going out the girls could always count on Jason dancing with them. Jason loved to dance. In November 2011, Jason and his family traveled to Nanaimo, B.C. to meet his Grandfather for the first time. It was a joyful family reunion. The same weekend he attended The Grey Cup in Vancouver, B.C. with his cousin Mike and cousin Justin and his wife Heather. They were true Blue Bombers Fans. Jason is survived by his loving mother Vicky Foster of Rivers, Manitoba and his father David Foster of Florida. He will be deeply missed by his Aunt Ethel Boyd of Woodstock, Ontario. Also missing Jason will be his Aunt Linda, Uncle Hughie and cousins Michelle and Mike of Fort St. John, B.C. His Uncle Kevin of Kamloops, B.C. and cousins Amber, Olin, Cierra-Lee and Katie. His Aunt Roberta and Uncle Louie of Rivers, Manitoba, cousins Leah, Emma, Bailee, Jenna and Josie and his best friend and cousin Justin Paddock and his wife Heather of Winnipeg, Manitoba. His Aunt Reema and Uncle Dave and cousin Aaron of Yorkton, Saskatchewan. Many friends from school, the curling community and friends and co-workers from Fort St. John, B.C. and one of his best friends Corey Brownfield also from Fort St. John, B.C. His Grandfather Roy Harris and his wife Lourdes of Nanaimo, B.C. Jason was predeceased by his step-brother Chris Foster. Grandpa and Grandma Foster and his Granny Aggie Harris. A celebration of Jasons life took place on February 24, 2012 with Glenna Beauchamp officiating in Rivers, Manitoba. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
