REDDING: Florence Ivy, April 12, 1914 – March 6, 2012 With great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother, Ivy Redding, on Tuesday, March 6th, 2012, in Penticton, B.C. Mom was born in Liverpool, England, and immigrated to Canada with her family at an early age. She received her schooling in Manitoba before returning to England. Mom and Dad were married in Chester, England, in 1945, and Mom then returned to Canada as a war bride in 1946. Dad and Mom farmed in Ingelow, Manitoba, until moving to Armstrong, B.C. in 1959. She lived in the North Okanagan until 14 years ago when she moved to Penticton. Mom was a proud mother and grandmother, and family always came first. She treasured her family and friends, and a cup of tea and a plate of cookies were always ready for visitors. Mom was sadly predeceased by husband John, son Brian, grandson Shane, sisters Bess and Peggy, and brother Wallace. She will be remembered with great love by daughters Linda (Gordon) and Shirley Ann (Lee); son Bill (Marlene); daughter-in-law Linda; grandchildren Glenn and Jennifer, Cass (Darcy) and Sam, Erin (Darren), and Grant; great-grandchildren Brydon and Owen, and Jordan; brothers Cy (Joan) and Gary (Stella); and many nieces and nephews.“Not dead to us that loved her, Not lost, but gone before; She lives with us in memoryAnd will forever more.”Arrangements entrusted to Hansons' Arbor Funeral Chapels & Crematorium.
